About 

Jessie Chiu is a Taiwanese composer, sound artist, classical-trained violinist and singer. Before Chiu started her study at Berklee College of Music in late 2016, she was involved in playing or designing music for different kinds of theater in Taiwan. In 2015 and 2016, Chiu produced and performed in two theater projects with director, Hao-Yeh Wang and composer, Ge-Wei Lin. Those experiences opened the door for her to dive more into the electronic music and sound design world. 

In fall 2016, Chiu started her journey at Berklee as a student major in Electronic Production and Design and also minor in Theory of Jazz and Popular Song. Otherwise, she played violin in many recording sessions and performances. She also played with Berklee World String between 2016 and 2018. With the influence from various genre like jazz, classical, Indian and Brazilian music… her music has her own unique flavor in it. In spring 2019, she was selected by Electronic Production and Design department to receive the Roland Endowed Scholarship.

Chiu is now focusing on sound design and music for films and advertising. At the meantime, working on more of her music compositions.
